SANTO DOMINGO.- El luto ha invadido la República Dominicana con la tétrica noticia del fallecimiento de la leyenda Johnny Ventura, a causa de un infarto en un centro de salud de Santiago.
Las figuras del medio artísticos y del mundo político lloran la gran pérdida que supone el deceso del artista, conocido por todos como «El caballo mayor».
Uno de los merengueros que lamenta la partida de Ventura es Eddy Herrera, quien afirma que “no puede creer que haya fallecido nuestro Papá del Merengue”, a través de su cuenta de Instagram.

Esta publicación no fue suficiente para expresar su dolor y también grabó un vídeo donde lo definió como un de los más grandes merengueros del país, “esto ha sido devastador para nosotros, para la música y para Latinoamérica”, dijo.
El artista Fernando Villalona se encuentra con “un nudo en la garganta” tras enterarse de la trágica noticia.
“Estoy sin palabras y con un nudo en la garganta, saber esta triste y desconsolada noticia, mi papá Johnny Ventura acaba de fallecer”, expresó Villalona en la misma red social.

Al dolor de esta pérdida se ha unido el también merenguero Héctor Acosta, quien con lágrimas y totalmente afectado hizo público un video donde solo tuvo fuerzas para expresar “dominicanos, acaba de morir Don Jhonny Ventura”.
El periodista Huchy Lora expresó su pesar a través de su cuenta de Twitter. “Gran pesar para todos los dominicanos: se nos ha ido el más grande”, escribió.
La senadora del Distrito Nacional, Faride Raful, desea que la muerte de “El caballo mayor” sea una pesadilla. “Que todo sea una pesadilla. Solo eso.”
El dirigente político y activista Claudio Caamaño no se quedó ajeno a la noticia.
“Lamentamos el fallecimiento de Johnny Ventura, quien además de su rol como icono de la música supo también luchar por la defensa de la democracia y el respeto a la constitución”, expresó Caamaño en su cuenta de Instagram.
